ABOUT THE POSITION
Aural Compass Projects is looking for a creative self-starter to join our team as its first Social Media and Marketing Manager. This is a part-time position with growth potential towards a full-time role as the company’s needs expand. The selected candidate will report to the Artistic Director while working in close collaboration with other members of the staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary goals of the Social Media and Marketing Manager are to increase ACP’s visibility and reach new audiences through creative marketing efforts. Specific job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Collaborate with team members to create content related to artistic and institutional goals that will increase engagement with Aural Compass Projects

Create and distribute content and communications across multiple marketing channels

Execute updates to Aural Compass Projects’ website, including new page creation related to productions, special events, and new initiatives.

Maintain organized collections of marketing assets and archival materials

Maintain functionality and organization of marketing and communication platforms (e.g. MailChimp account, YouTube archives, etc.)

Monitor analytics and recommend changes in strategy, processes, etc. based on data and trends
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We welcome perspectives both from those who have worked in or loved art song and chamber music, as well as those who are less familiar and can bring a new viewpoint. We look forward to hearing how each candidate’s insight and expertise can propel Aural Compass Projects forward into its next chapter. Ideal candidates will have some combination of:

Proven experience in marketing either for an innovative product and/or bringing an innovative approach to marketing in general

Ability to embrace Aural Compass Projects’ values and work collaboratively to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all stakeholders

Agility and eagerness to pivot from brainstorming and ideating to data-driven detail tasks

Familiarity with current marketing tools and practices, such as HTML, photo editing and video editing software, digital marketing platforms, back-end social media marketing tools, and CRM systems.

Clear communication skills for interfacing with a diverse range of stakeholders, from opera newcomers to long-time supporters, from venue personnel to internal ACP staff
COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE, AND LOCATION
This is a part-time position with a paid rate of $18/hour working approximately 5-10 hours per week. This position will be remote with meetings conducted via phone and/or video conferencing. Business hours will typically fall within a regular work week (Monday - Friday), though work hours can be flexible.
